The FTC has extended the deadline to fully comply with the Red Flags Rule to June 1, 2010.

  However… Per the FTC “This delay in enforcement is limited to the Identity Theft Red Flags Rule (16 CFR681.2), and does not extend to the rule regarding address discrepancies applicable to users of consumer reports (16 CFR 681.1), or to the rule regarding changes of address applicable to card issuers (16 CFR 681.3).”

Therefore, dealerships must have written policies and procedures in place by January 1, 2011 on addressing address discrepancies. The fine for not complying with this portion of the Red Flag Rule is $2,500.00 per violation.

Any company that handles a consumer’s credit application or data is required to be fully compliant with that law by May 1, 2009.

...Enrollees in Northwood University's college program may receive credit toward Northwood's Automotive Marketing 455 course upon the successful completion of Kelly Enterprises "Back to Basics" F&I seminar.

...F&I Managers can earn AFIP Certification with Kelly Enterprises.

The AFIP Certified F&I Professional continuing education program is recommended by NADA. Certification is available to franchised automobile, RV, motorcycle, marine, and motor sports in-dealership F&I personnel.

AFIP Executive Director, David Robertson, has recognized Jan Kelly for her superior training techniques and for promoting excellence in F&I.

The AFIP examination is offered on the second to the last day of the Kelly Enterprises F&I seminar. Students wishing to earn the AFIP Certified F&I Professional designation should e-mail at least 3 weeks prior to the seminar date to allow for ample study time before attending the F&I seminar.
